Jharkhand NEET UG 2026 Round 3: Choice Filling Reopens Oct 9, Letters From Oct 10

Jharkhand NEET UG 2026 counselling has opened a fresh Round 3 window today, October 9. The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) is allowing new registration and choice filling till October 14, and provisional seat allotment letters will be released between October 10 and October 14. Students aiming for MBBS, BDS or BHMS seats under the state quota now get one more chance to lock their college preferences.

This round covers government and private medical, dental and homoeopathy colleges across the state. The earlier choice filling window ran from September 28 to October 7, so anyone who missed it, or is entering the process fresh, should use this new window.

Who can use this fresh window

Both fresh applicants and candidates who registered earlier can take part. New registration is open, which means students who skipped the first two rounds can still enter the Jharkhand NEET UG counselling process now. If you already filled choices in the earlier round, you can revise them before the deadline.

Only NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates are eligible, and you must meet the Jharkhand domicile rules. The state quota seats are meant for students who satisfy the state’s residency and eligibility criteria. Keep your NEET UG 2026 scorecard and roll number ready when you log in.

Key dates: nothing extends beyond October 14

The schedule currently shown on the official counselling portal is:

• New registration and choice filling: October 9 to October 14, 2026
• Seat allotment and downloading of provisional seat allotment letter: October 10 to October 14, 2026
• Document verification and admission at the allotted college: October 10 to October 14, 2026

Do not wait for the last day. Portals slow down and logins fail when thousands of students try to submit together on the final evening. Finish your locking at least a day early.

The order in which you list your colleges decides the seat you get. Put the college you truly want at the top, and check the latest seat matrix before locking.

How to fill and lock your choices

1. Open the official JCECEB counselling portal.
2. Log in with your NEET UG 2026 application number and password.
3. Complete the registration if you are a new applicant, and pay the counselling fee online.
4. Open the choice filling section and add colleges and courses in your order of preference.
5. Rearrange the list until it matches your real priority.
6. Lock your choices before October 14 and download the confirmation slip.

Choices left unlocked are usually auto-locked by the system at the deadline, but you should not rely on that. A locked and saved list is the only proof that your preferences went in correctly.

Documents to keep ready for verification

After the allotment, you must report to the allotted college between October 10 and October 14 with your papers. Carry these:

• NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard
• Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets and passing certificates
• Domicile or local residence certificate of Jharkhand
• Category certificate (SC, ST, OBC, EWS), if applicable
• Aadhaar card or another photo ID
• Recent passport-size photographs

Keep originals plus a few self-attested photocopies. Colleges verify the originals and keep the copies for their records.

What happens after the allotment letter

Once your provisional seat allotment letter is available, download it and read it carefully. It shows your allotted college and course. Report to that college within the verification window to confirm your seat.
