Report to Your College by 6 PM Today: Karnataka PGCET 2026 Round 1 Deadline

Follow us on Google

If you got a seat in the first round of Karnataka PGCET 2026 counselling, today is your last day to confirm it. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has asked every allotted candidate to report in person at their college by 6 PM on October 5, 2026, with original documents. This is the final step of the admission process, and the seat is not yours until it is done.

KEA published the first-round final allotment result for MBA, MCA, M.E., M.Tech and M.Arch programmes on September 25, 2026, and then issued the post-allotment schedule on September 28. The fee payment window ran from September 29 to October 3, and the seat confirmation slip download stayed open till October 4. Today’s in-person reporting closes the loop.

Only three steps stood between you and the seat, and two are already over

The KEA schedule is simple, and it works in a fixed order:

  • Fee payment: September 29 to October 3, 2026, during banking hours.
  • Seat confirmation slip download: available till October 4, 2026, on the KEA portal after logging in with your CET number.
  • College reporting: today, October 5, 2026, till 6 PM, in person, with original documents.

KEA has also told all participating colleges to keep working through the counselling period, including Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted holidays. So do not assume the admission counter is shut today. This finish-in-person rule applies in almost every college admission round in India, and Karnataka is no exception.

Reach the college before 6 PM, and carry the confirmation slip first

The seat confirmation slip is generated only after the fee payment, on the official KEA PGCET portal. Download it, take a printout, and keep your fee payment receipt with it. The slip and the allotment letter are the first two papers the admission desk will ask for, so keep them on top of your file.

If you have not downloaded the slip yet, do it now:

  1. Open the KEA website and go to the PGCET 2026 admissions section.
  2. Click the seat confirmation slip download link.
  3. Log in with your CET number and download the slip.

The confirmation slip is the one paper colleges will ask for first. Download it from the KEA portal and keep the fee receipt with it.

Originals, not photocopies: what the verification desk will check

Colleges verify originals at the counter and usually keep self-attested photocopies for their records. Line up this set before you leave home:

  • Karnataka PGCET 2026 admit card and hall ticket
  • PGCET rank card or scorecard
  • KEA seat allotment letter
  • Seat confirmation slip and fee payment receipt
  • Qualifying degree marksheets and degree or provisional certificate
  • Class 10 (SSLC) certificate as date-of-birth proof
  • Class 12 or 2nd PUC mark card
  • Valid photo ID
  • Transfer certificate from your last institution
  • Category, caste or income certificates, where applicable

If you want the full paperwork list used across Indian colleges, our documents checklist for college admission covers it state by state. Check that the name and date of birth match across every document before you step out. Small spelling differences are the most common reason students are turned away from the verification counter.

Keep proof of every step, starting today

Do not wait for the last hour of the day. Traffic, queues at the counter, and a missing photocopy can eat up the final stretch, and the 6 PM cutoff is fixed. KEA’s own advice to candidates is to complete the steps in order, keep proof of every step, and check the KEA website regularly in case a date or rule is revised.

When the college finishes your verification, collect a written acknowledgement of reporting. Keep it with your fee receipt, confirmation slip and allotment letter in one file. If any question comes up later about your admission, this set is your evidence that you reported on time.

No seat in round 1? Two doors are still open this week

If you did not get a seat in the first round, keep watching the KEA portal. Further rounds are part of the counselling process, and the schedule for the next one will appear there. For management aspirants planning ahead, the CAT 2026 correction window is open till 5 PM on October 6 for photo, signature and test-city changes.

For every PGCET update, trust only notices published on the official KEA website. Screenshots and forwarded messages are not a source of truth on admission day.
