Oct 8, 5 PM Deadline: KEAM 2026 2nd Phase AYUSH Allotment Window Opens

If you are chasing an AYUSH seat in Kerala this year, your next move is due in three days. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has opened the option confirmation window for the second phase of allotment to Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha, Unani and medical allied courses for the 2026-27 academic year. You can confirm, rearrange or delete your options only till 5 PM on October 8, 2026. After that, the window shuts and the provisional allotment comes out the very next day.
Who must confirm before October 8
This round covers KEAM 2026 admission to BAMS, BSMS, BHMS and BUMS courses along with medical allied courses such as BSc (Hons) Agriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Co-operation and Banking, Climate Change and Environmental Science, BTech Biotechnology, BVSc and AH, BFSc, and the integrated BSc-MSc Biology and Microbiology programmes. Admission runs on the Kerala state rank lists prepared from NEET UG 2026 scores, and it happens entirely through the state quota on the CEE portal.
Option confirmation is mandatory for two groups. First, candidates who took admission in the first phase and want their higher-order options considered for an upgrade. Second, candidates who did not get any allotment in the first phase but still want a seat. If you got a seat in phase one and you are happy with it, you can simply skip confirmation. Your existing admission will be retained.
One warning matters here. If you confirm your options and then vacate your first-phase seat, your higher options will not be considered in later allotments. So choose only those colleges and courses you will actually join if allotted.
The full second-phase schedule
According to the official notification, the timeline is tight:
- October 3: online option confirmation facility opened
- October 8, 5 PM: deadline to confirm, rearrange or delete options
- October 9: second-phase provisional allotment published
- October 10: final allotment published
- October 11 to 14, 4 PM: pay the fee and join the allotted college
CEE has also opened fresh option registration for the BHMS course at Athurasramam NSS Homoeopathic Medical College in this phase. Candidates interested in that college should add it to their option list before the deadline.
“Confirm before October 8, 5 PM, or the second phase will pass you by. In Kerala’s AYUSH counselling, an unconfirmed option is treated as a surrendered one.”
How to confirm your options step by step
- Go to the official CEE Kerala portal at cee.kerala.gov.in and open the KEAM 2026 candidate portal.
- Log in with your application number and password.
- On your home page, click the Confirm button for your options.
- Once confirmed, you can rearrange your higher-order options or delete unwanted courses and colleges.
- Arrange your list in the true order of your preference, with the college you most want to join on top.
- Submit and take a printout of the final option list for your records.
Remember that options must be given afresh for this phase. Options from an earlier phase do not carry forward automatically. File options only for colleges where you are sure you will join and continue studies if allotted.
Fees and the cost of missing the deadline
Candidates registering options pay an option registration fee of Rs. 5,000. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and OEC categories pay Rs. 500. If you already paid this fee for MBBS or BDS option registration, you do not pay again. The fee is adjusted against your tuition fee on admission, and it is refunded if you do not get any allotment.
The refund has one hard exception. If you get an allotment and do not join within the stipulated time, or if you quit the seat after taking admission, the fee is treated as a penalty and will not be refunded. This is the same rule CEE applies across its allotment rounds, so think twice before locking in a seat you do not intend to keep.
Students following the parallel NEET UG Round 3 seat allotment process should note that the Kerala AYUSH route is a separate state-level track and needs its own confirmation on the CEE portal. Central counselling deadlines do not cover these seats.
What to do after the final allotment
Once the final allotment comes out on October 10, download your allotment memo from the candidate portal. The memo shows the fee you must pay and the documents you need at the time of joining. Reach your allotted college between October 11 and 14 with the memo, fee, and original documents, and complete admission by 4 PM on the last day. Missing the joining window means losing the allotment, and for medical allied streams it can also block your higher options in later rounds. Check the official notification on the CEE Kerala website for the college-wise fee details before you go.
