The Maharashtra State CET Cell has released the Round 3 seat allotment result for NEET UG Counselling 2026. A total of 11,340 candidates have been allotted seats for MBBS and BDS admissions in the 2026-27 academic year: 8,811 for MBBS and 2,529 for BDS. If your name is on the list, you must report in person to your allotted college by 5:30 PM on October 14, 2026.

This is state-quota counselling for Maharashtra, separate from the national MCC rounds. The allotment covers 99 participating colleges across the state, and the result is available as a downloadable PDF on the official portal, medical2026.mahacet.org.

The CET Cell has published the provisional selection list online. Here is the quickest way to find yours:

  • Go to medical2026.mahacet.org and open the admission portal for 2026-27.
  • Look for the Medical Education section and select NEET UG.
  • Click the Round 3 seat allotment result link for MBBS/BDS (Group A).
  • Search the PDF for your name, NEET roll number, or application number.
  • Check your allotted college, course, and category carefully, then save the PDF.

Treat this as a provisional list. Admission is confirmed only after the college verifies your original documents, as per your claimed eligibility in the NEET UG 2026 brochure.

8,811 MBBS and 2,529 BDS seats allotted

Round 3 drew from the seats left vacant after Round 2, plus seats added during the CAP Round 3 process. Across 70 MBBS colleges and 29 BDS colleges, 11,431 seats were on the table and 11,340 went to candidates. Only 91 seats remain vacant: 3 in MBBS and 88 in BDS.

Choice filling for this round ran from October 7 to 9, and the allotment result was declared on October 11. Students who missed out in earlier state rounds got another genuine chance here, which is why this round filled nearly the entire matrix.

Report in person by October 14, 5:30 PM

Physical joining at the allotted institutes is scheduled from October 11 to 14, 2026. The hard stop is 5:30 PM on October 14, for both joining the college and filling the Status Retention Form at the college.

Do not treat October 14 as a “visit once and come back later” day. Your originals, your fee, and your retention form must all be done by 5:30 PM, or your selection stands cancelled.

Go through our documents checklist for college admission before you travel. The college will verify originals and keep attested copies, so carry NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard, Class 10 and 12 certificates, domicile and category certificates where applicable, a government photo ID, and passport-size photographs.

What the fee rule says about demand drafts

The CET Cell wants the admission fee paid by demand draft. If October 14 or your reporting day falls on a bank holiday, you may pay by cheque — but the cheque must be replaced with a demand draft on the next working day. Missing that swap can cancel your admission, according to the cell’s press release.

Plan the money as carefully as the documents. Arrange the draft before you leave home, and keep the receipt safe.

What comes next if you did not get a seat

Round 3 was conducted against the remaining seats from Round 2, so options now narrow sharply. Watch the CET Cell website for any further round announcements, and keep your documents ready in case vacancies reopen. Meanwhile, candidates eyeing the next stage can note that NEET PG 2026 counselling registration opened today, October 12, on the MCC portal.

For every counselling alert like this, check our admissions section so no deadline slips past you.
