MP NEET PG 2026: Round 1 Registration Ends at Midnight Tonight, Merit List Tomorrow

Follow us on Google

If you are eyeing a postgraduate medical seat in Madhya Pradesh, your clock is running out tonight. Registration for Round 1 of MP NEET PG 2026 counselling closes at 12 midnight on October 20. No registration means no seat in this round, however good your NEET PG rank is. The process runs on the official DME MP counselling portal at dme.mponline.gov.in, and covers MD, MS, Post MBBS DNB and PG Diploma seats in government and private medical colleges of the state.

Do not mix this up with the all-India process. MCC is running Round 1 counselling for 50% All India Quota, deemed and central university seats on its own dates, and NEET PG 2026 Round 1 choice filling there closes at 10 AM on October 22. The MP state counselling is a separate process with a separate registration. If you want both pools of seats, you must register for both on their own portals.

Round 1 timeline: every date that matters

The Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh, has issued the tentative schedule for Round 1 of the MP State Combined NEET PG Counselling 2026-27:

  • Registration and profile creation: October 10 to October 20, 2026 (till 12 midnight)
  • Merit list of registered candidates: October 21, 2026
  • Publication of vacancy positions: October 21, 2026
  • Objections against vacancies: October 22, 2026
  • Disposal of objections and final vacancy list: October 23, 2026
  • Choice filling and choice locking: October 24 to October 27, 2026 (till 12 midnight)
  • Round 1 allotment result: October 29, 2026
  • Reporting at the allotted college in person: October 30 to November 10, 2026 (till 6 PM)

Only candidates who register tonight appear in the merit list tomorrow. Everything after that, the choices, the allotment, the admission, depends on being on that list.

Miss tonight’s midnight deadline and Round 1 is over for you before it starts. Register now, fill choices later.

Who can register and what it costs

You can register if you have qualified NEET PG 2026 and meet the eligibility conditions under rule 2 of the MP Medical Education Admission Rules 2018. Admission is on NEET PG 2026 merit. DME MP fills the state quota seats of government medical colleges along with the counselling seats of private medical colleges, including their NRI quota.

As per DME MP’s fee notice, the registration fee is Rs 1,000 plus a Rs 100 portal charge, payable online. Another Rs 100 portal fee applies at the choice-locking stage in each round. Pay only on the official portal, and keep the payment receipt with your counselling papers.

How to register on the DME MP portal

Open the official portal at dme.mponline.gov.in and click Create Profile. Enter your NEET PG 2026 roll number, application number, and registered mobile number, then verify the OTP sent to your NEET PG mobile numbers. Check the details fetched from your result data, add contact and bank account details (any refund later goes to this account), and set a password. Log in, open the registration form, and fill in your MBBS and internship details, medical council registration, category, and PwD details as applicable. Upload your documents, click Save Enclosures, review the summary screen, and correct mistakes before you pay the fee online. After payment, print the registration receipt.

Do this today. Servers slow down near midnight on deadline days, and DME has been clear that the window ends at 12 midnight.

Choice filling opens October 24: get the order right

Choice filling and locking run from October 24 to October 27. You can edit and reorder your choices any number of times, but every edit must be locked again with the OTP. DME has cautioned that edits left without a fresh lock are ignored, and the previously locked list is used for allotment instead.

Check the official DME MP portal for the final vacancy list on October 23 before you lock anything. Also study the NEET PG 2026 counselling seat matrix to get a sense of seat numbers in each branch and category, keeping in mind the MP state matrix is published separately by DME. Fill as many choices as you like, in your true order of preference, mixing dream options with realistic ones.

If you get a seat on October 29

Report in person at the allotted college between October 30 and November 10, 2026, before 6 PM on the last day. Reporting is physical, not online. Carry your allotment order, registration receipt, NEET PG 2026 admit card and scorecard, final MBBS mark sheets, internship completion certificate, medical council registration certificate, a valid photo ID, and category or PwD certificates where applicable. Admission completes only after document verification and online payment of the full college fee at the college.

Watch the admissions section of this site for the next windows. Round 2 and the mop-up round follow within the national counselling calendar, and a fresh registration window opens before the mop-up round for candidates who missed out earlier.
