Today Is the Last Day: NEET MDS 2026 Round 3 Registration Closes Oct 7
Today is the last chance. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will shut the NEET MDS 2026 Round 3 counselling registration window today, October 7, 2026. If you qualified in NEET MDS this year and still do not have a seat, register on the official portal before the clock runs out.
Round 3 is the third counselling round for Master of Dental Surgery admissions in 2026. It covers 50 percent All India Quota seats and 100 percent seats in deemed universities, central universities, and AFMS. Registration opened on October 3 on mcc.nic.in, and many candidates who sat out the first two rounds can still apply afresh in this round.
Registration closes at 3 PM today, payment at 6 PM
Note the two different cut-offs today. Registration closes at 3 PM server time, while the fee payment facility stays open until 6 PM. Choice filling, which started on October 3, continues until October 8. Choice locking happens between 4 PM on October 7 and 10 AM on October 8.
Do not leave it for the last hour. The MCC schedule follows server time, and the portal usually slows down when thousands of candidates log in together near the deadline. Finish your registration and payment early, then lock your choices without rushing.
Candidates who did not take part in the earlier rounds can register fresh in Round 3. Those who got no seat or withdrew within the allowed time can also take part again, as per MCC rules. Allotment will be based on your NEET MDS merit rank, your category, the choices you fill, and the seat matrix for this round.
Full Round 3 schedule: allotment result on Oct 10-11
After choice locking closes on October 8, MCC will process seat allotment on October 8 and 9. The Round 3 seat allotment result will be declared between October 10 and October 11, 2026.
- Registration and fee payment: October 3 to October 7 (payment till 6 PM on Oct 7)
- Choice filling and locking: October 3 to October 8 (locking from 4 PM Oct 7 to 10 AM Oct 8)
- Seat allotment processing: October 8 to October 9
- Round 3 result: October 10 to October 11
- Reporting to allotted college: October 12 to October 19
If you get a seat in this round, you must report in person at the allotted dental college between October 12 and October 19 for document verification and fee payment. The dates are fixed, so plan your travel in advance.
“Round 3 is often the round where real choices get made. Seats that stayed empty in the first two rounds come back into the pool, so study the seat matrix carefully before you lock your choices.”
How to register for NEET MDS 2026 Round 3 counselling
Go to mcc.nic.in and click on the MDS Counselling section. Click the New Registration link created for Round 3 and enter your NEET MDS roll number, application number, date of birth, and the security pin to reach your candidate dashboard.
Pay the registration fee and the refundable security deposit online through net banking, debit card, or credit card. Then fill your specialty dental branches and colleges in your order of preference, and lock them before the window closes. Take a printout of the registration slip and your locked choices for the admission process later.
Keep these documents ready before you report to the college: your NEET MDS admit card and scorecard, internship completion certificate, BDS degree certificate and mark sheets, and your State Dental Council registration certificate. Colleges verify originals at the time of admission, so carry them along with photocopies.
The admissions section on this site carries every counselling alert in one place, so you do not miss a deadline. Students tracking the UG process can also read the latest on the NEET UG 2026 stray vacancy round and the NEET UG 2026 Round 3 final allotment.
Missed today? The Stray Vacancy Round is your last option
If you cannot register today for any reason, one final round remains. The Stray Vacancy Round registration runs from October 22 to October 26, 2026, with choice filling from October 23 to October 27 and seat allotment on October 29. But seats will be far fewer by then. If you are eligible for Round 3, treat today as the deadline that matters.
