October 9 Last Date: TG CPGET 2026 Final Phase PG Counselling Open, Allotment on Oct 14

October 9 is the last date to register for the TG CPGET 2026 final phase counselling. If you want a postgraduate seat in a Telangana state university this year, this is your final chance to enter the process.

The Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University, which is handling the counselling on behalf of TSCHE, has released the full final-phase schedule for TG CPGET 2026. Online registration and certificate upload opened on October 6 and will close on October 9. The provisional seat allotment will be declared on October 14, and students who get a seat must report to their colleges on or before October 17.

The final phase covers M.A., M.Sc., M.Com. and other postgraduate programmes. The same schedule also works as the first phase for M.Ed. and M.P.Ed. admissions.

Web options open from October 7 to 10, and earlier choices will not count

One rule every candidate must know: you have to fill web options fresh in this round. The window runs from October 7 to October 10, 2026. Choices you entered in the first or second phase will not be carried forward automatically. October 10 also works as the editing day for web options.

This detail matters because many students assume their old preferences still stand. They do not. If you skip this step, you will not be considered for the October 14 allotment at all.

“Every phase of TG CPGET counselling needs fresh web options. Fill your preferences again between October 7 and October 10, or you will miss the final allotment.”

What happens if you already have a seat from an earlier round

Students who already secured a seat in Phase 1 or Phase 2 can also take part in the final phase. But there is a clear trade-off. Filing new options in this round means you are asking for an upgrade. If the system allots you a new college or course on October 14, your earlier seat will be cancelled automatically.

So check the vacant seat list carefully before you decide. If your current seat is good enough, you can simply stay with it. Enter the final phase only if you want to try for a better option.

How to register on the official portal

All steps happen online through the official CPGET admissions portal. Here is the process in order:

1. Create your counselling profile on the portal and enter your candidate details.
2. Pay the online counselling processing fee.
3. Upload scanned copies of your original certificates for online verification.
4. Exercise your web options between October 7 and October 10.
5. Check the provisional allotment on October 14 and download your allotment letter.
6. Pay the tuition fee online and report physically to the allotted college by October 17.

Keep your CPGET 2026 rank card, hall ticket, and original documents ready before you start. The portal also runs an official help desk on working days from 10 AM to 5 PM for counselling queries, listed on cpgetadmissions.com.

Why this round matters for PG aspirants

TG CPGET is the gateway to postgraduate courses across the campus, constituent, and affiliated colleges of Osmania, Kakatiya, Telangana, Palamuru, Mahatma Gandhi, Satavahana, Telangana Mahila Vishwavidyalayam, and Jawaharlal Technological universities. This final phase is the last centralised round for the 2026-27 academic session.

If you miss October 9, you lose this route entirely. Similar final admission rounds are running in other states too, like the Maharashtra agri PG conversion round that opened for PG seats this week. And if you are preparing for professional PG courses instead, the NEET PG 2026 counselling seat matrix is already out. But for general PG programmes in Telangana, this TG CPGET final phase is the one that counts. The broader admissions section tracks every such deadline as it is announced.

Remember, October 9 is tomorrow. Start your registration today so you are not rushing at the last hour.
