UP NEET PG 2026: Registration Ends at 11 AM Today, Choice Filling Starts at 5 PM

UP NEET PG 2026 Round 1 registration closes at 11 AM today, October 26. If you want a state quota MD, MS, diploma or DNB seat in Uttar Pradesh, the form has to be in before that hour. Fee payment gets a little more room, till 2 PM today, but do not treat that as extra time to start a form.
This is a same-day turnaround round. DGME will declare the Round 1 merit list later today, and choice filling opens at 5 PM this evening. That window runs till 5 PM on October 30, and the seat allotment result follows on November 2.

Miss the 11 AM form deadline and Round 1 is over before it starts. Register in the morning, fill choices in the evening.
What the fees are
The registration fee is Rs 3,000, non-refundable. On top of it comes a security deposit that depends on the college type: Rs 30,000 for government medical colleges, Rs 2,00,000 for private medical colleges, and Rs 10,00,000 for private dental colleges.
Two points from the official instructions are worth knowing before you pay. The security amount is never adjusted against tuition fee. And if original documents are missing or turn out to be wrong at admission, the allotment can be cancelled and the security deposit confiscated under the rules. Pay only on the official portal and save the receipt.
How to register on upneet.gov.in
- Go to the official UP NEET PG counselling portal and open the Round 1 registration link.
- Log in with your NEET PG roll number and registered email ID.
- Fill in your personal and academic details and upload the documents asked for.
- Pay the Rs 3,000 registration fee and the security deposit online before 2 PM today.
- Submit the form and download the confirmation slip and payment receipt.
Do not wait till 10:30 AM: portals slow down near deadlines. The second official source for notices is the DGME Uttar Pradesh website.
Choice filling: lock your choices or lose them
Choice filling starts at 5 PM today, once the merit list is out, and closes at 5 PM on October 30. There is no limit on how many choices you can fill, but DGME advises candidates to fill only colleges they genuinely want to join.
One rule matters more than the rest: after filling choices online, locking them is compulsory. If you do not lock, you cannot take part in seat allotment, and the fault lies with the candidate alone. Fill your list in your true order of preference, mixing dream options with realistic ones, and lock it well before the October 30 evening cutoff.
Documents to keep ready
Verification is strict, and the official instructions say forged documents lead to cancellation of admission and legal action. Keep these ready before choice filling, so allotment week does not catch you off guard.
- NEET PG 2026 admit card and scorecard
- MBBS degree certificate and internship completion certificate
- Permanent or provisional registration certificate from the medical council
- Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets, plus a valid photo ID
- Caste or category certificate, if applicable, in the Uttar Pradesh format
- Disability certificate, if applicable, from a designated centre
One detail on certificates: OBC and EWS candidates from Uttar Pradesh should note that only certificates dated April 1, 2026 or later are valid, and certificates issued for central government posts are not accepted. Check the date on yours today, not on allotment day.
Do not mix this up with MCC All India counselling
This UP round is separate from the national counselling run by the Medical Counselling Committee. The NEET PG 2026 Round 1 final allotment under MCC covers All India Quota, deemed, central university and AFMS seats, with reporting from October 26 to November 2. Other states run their own clocks too: the MP NEET PG 2026 Round 1 registration window followed a different schedule. Track each counselling on its own portal, and never assume a date from one applies to another.
Watch the admissions section for the next UP windows. Round 2 and later rounds follow within the national counselling calendar, but Round 1 is where the most seats are on the table.
