Bihar STET November 4 Exam Moves to November 21: Download Your New Admit Card

Follow us on Google

If your Bihar STET 2026 paper was set for November 4, do not turn up on that day. The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has moved that paper to November 21, 2026, and fresh admit cards for the new date are out today, October 24. Candidates who miss this change risk reaching a centre on the wrong day, so download the revised hall ticket and check every detail on it.

The change affects only one date. Every other paper in the STET 2026 schedule stays where it was. Here is what moved, why it moved, and what you need to do next.

Why November 4 moved: a clash with KVS and NVS exams

BSEB shifted the November 4 sitting because the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) recruitment tests fall on the same day. Many teaching aspirants appear for more than one of these exams, and holding all three on November 4 would have forced candidates to pick one and drop the others.

The board’s fix is narrow. Only the November 4 paper moves to November 21. The rest of the timetable is untouched. That matters because STET 2026 is a long window: BSEB is running the test from October 25 to November 21, 2026, offline in computer-based test (CBT) mode at centres across Bihar. Candidates on any other date should follow their original admit card and schedule.

Revised admit cards out October 24: how to download

BSEB released the revised admit cards for the rescheduled paper on October 24, 2026. The original admit cards for all candidates had gone out earlier, on October 18, so candidates moved to November 21 now hold two hall tickets. The new one is the valid one.

To get it:

  • Go to the STET portal, stetregistration.cbrt.co.in, and log in with your application number and password.
  • Download the revised admit card for the November 21 paper.
  • Print a fresh copy. Do not carry the old November 4 hall ticket to the centre.
  • Check the exam city, shift, reporting time, and centre address against your travel plan. If your centre city changed, rework your journey now rather than on exam morning.

Candidates can download the revised admit card from the official STET portal. If login fails or details look wrong, use the BSEB STET helpdesk phone number and email given on the portal.

What to check twice on the new hall ticket

A rescheduled paper creates small risks that a normal admit card does not. Run through this list before you travel:

  • Date and shift: it should read November 21, 2026, not November 4.
  • Reporting time: reach the centre well before the reporting time printed on the card. Late entry rules still apply.
  • Centre details: confirm the centre name and address. Do not assume it matches your old card.
  • Your details: name, photograph, and signature should match your ID proof. A mismatch at the gate can cost you the paper.

Keep both a printed copy and a copy on your phone. Centres check the printed hall ticket along with a valid photo ID.

What STET is, and why this paper matters

The Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) is run by BSEB to decide who is eligible for secondary school teaching posts in Bihar. Thousands of aspirants prepare for STET, KVS, and NVS tests in the same season, so a single-day collision would have wasted months of preparation for many of them.

The board’s decision gives those candidates a clean run at each exam instead of a forced choice. It also means November 21 is now the last day of the STET window, closing a schedule that opened on October 25.

“Examinations scheduled on all other dates will be held according to the original timetable.”

That line from the board is the key point for everyone else. If your paper was never on November 4, nothing about your exam has changed. Do not let rumours about a wider postponement confuse your plan.

If your paper is on another date

Candidates with papers between October 25 and November 20 should stick to their original admit cards and dates. Verify your shift, reporting time, and centre, and keep your ID ready. Admit card season is busy across the country right now, and our results section is tracking each release. The DSSSB TGT admit card for Delhi teacher posts also went live on October 24, and the UPSSSC PET admit card covers an exam on October 25, so keep each hall ticket separate and labelled.
