CBSE Special Exam 2026: Admit Cards Out Today, 5-Day Datesheet from Oct 23

CBSE has released the admit cards for the Class 12 special examinations for West Asia. The exams begin on October 23 and finish on October 28, and candidates can download their hall tickets from today through the same login they used to apply. This is the special round CBSE announced for students whose papers could not be held during the March-April 2026 board exams.

Thousands of Indian students study in schools across West Asia, and for them the March-April session ended with some subjects still pending because of the situation in the region. CBSE issued a circular on September 15 asking these candidates to submit their List of Candidates (LOC) for the missed subjects, and the date sheet notice followed on October 8. In this week’s education news, this is the development that directly affects students abroad right now.

Who can appear in the CBSE special exam 2026

The datesheet applies only to Class 12 candidates appearing from West Asian countries who filled their LOC for the subjects that were left over from the March-April 2026 board examination period. If you are one of these students, your subject list comes straight from the LOC your school submitted.

The notice makes it clear that these are not re-exams open to everyone. Only candidates covered by the September 15 circular, CBSE/COORD/EXAMS/WAC/2026/16061, are part of this round.

CBSE special exam datesheet 2026: day-wise schedule

Papers are spread across five days, October 23 to October 28, with October 25 left blank. Most exams start at 10:30 AM and end at 1:30 PM. Two skill subjects run a shorter session, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Day 1: October 23 (Friday) brings Political Science (028), Economics (030), Mathematics (041) and Applied Mathematics (241). Day 2: October 24 (Saturday) covers Psychology (037), Business Studies (054) and Physical Activity Trainer (845), the last one being a two-hour paper. Day 3: October 26 (Monday) packs in Biology (044), Information Technology (802), Marketing (812), Multimedia (821) and Artificial Intelligence (843), with AI also running for two hours.

Day 4: October 27 (Tuesday) has Home Science (064), Informatics Practices (065) and Computer Science (083). Day 5: October 28 (Wednesday) closes the round with a single paper: English Core (301). The full day-wise schedule is available on the official CBSE website, and you should cross-check your subject codes there before the exam day.

How to download the CBSE admit card 2026

Admit cards went live on October 12. Follow these steps to get yours:

  • Go to the CBSE website and open the login you used when you applied for the special examination.
  • Look for the admit card link once it is activated on your dashboard.
  • Download the file and print at least one copy to carry to the centre.

Download the admit card as soon as you can and match every subject code with the datesheet. Do not leave this for the last evening.

Check the printed copy for your name, photograph, subject list and centre address. If anything looks wrong, contact your school immediately instead of assuming it will be fixed at the gate.

One centre per country, one rule to remember

Based on the LOC data, CBSE has designated one examination centre in each country for this round. The centre address is not listed in the public notice, so your admit card is the only document that tells you where to report. Plan your travel to the centre in advance, because the venue may be in a different city from your school.

The exam follows the same hall rules as the regular board session. Reach the centre before the reporting time printed on your admit card, since most papers begin at 10:30 AM sharp.

What happens after these exams

With the October round over, this year’s pending subjects get closed for West Asia candidates. Students who appeared should keep the admit card and a copy of the datesheet until their results are declared, because both carry the roll number and subject codes you will need when you check your marks. Just as with the recent KMAT 2026 result, where candidates had to log in with their application number and date of birth, you will need your details ready to pull your scorecard from the CBSE portal when the time comes.

Keep watching the official CBSE website for any fresh communication about this round. Boards sometimes add instructions between the datesheet and the first paper, and the students who read the notice first are the ones who never get surprised.
