GNDU Result 2026 Declared for 40+ UG, PG Courses: Check Your Marks with 11-Digit Roll Number

Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, has declared the GNDU result 2026 for more than 40 undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate programmes. Students who appeared in the semester or annual examinations can now check their marks on the university’s official result portals using their roll number. The new UG and PG semester system uses an 11-digit roll number, so keep your admit card or previous marksheet handy before you log in.

The results span the full range of GNDU’s courses: BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BCA, B.Ed, B.Tech, MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, MCA, LLB, LLM and M.Tech, along with diploma, PG diploma and certificate courses. If your course notification is not visible yet, do not panic. The university uploads the remaining results in stages, so check again after a day or two. Mumbai University follows a similar staged release with its own semester results.

Which GNDU results are live right now

The declared results cover several separate portals, because GNDU runs semester, annual, diploma and distance-learning examinations in parallel. A July 2026 notice listed 38 programme entries, including BCA, B.Sc. Information Technology, B.Ed., Bachelor of Design, MA English, MA Political Science, M.Sc. Computer Science, M.Sc. Biotechnology, Master of Fine Arts and several PG diploma and foreign language courses.

Results are organised into categories, so you need to pick the right one: the new UG/PG semester system (11-digit roll number), UG annual results, PG annual results, UG and PG semester results, diploma and PG diploma results, and the official result gazette. Students of courses like Tripura University’s recently declared results may find the process familiar, though GNDU’s category selection is more detailed.

For a full round-up of every declared result, the results section of this site is updated as new university notices come in.

How to check your GNDU result 2026 in 5 steps

  • Go to the GNDU result portal (student area result page).
  • Pick the correct result category for your course: new semester system, UG annual, PG annual, diploma and so on.
  • Select the exam year, month, course type and semester from the drop-downs.
  • Enter your roll number exactly as printed on your GNDU admit card. For the new system it is an 11-digit number.
  • Click submit. Your result will appear on screen. Download the PDF and keep a printout for your records.

The online copy is provisional. Your college or university department will issue the final marksheet later, but the downloaded copy is enough for most paperwork in the meantime: next-semester admission, revaluation applications, scholarship forms and counselling.

What the marksheet shows, and what the codes mean

Your GNDU marksheet carries your name, your parents’ names as per records, roll number and registration number, course and semester, subject-wise marks, maximum marks, total marks, and the result status. For courses under the credit-based grading system, the CGPA is also shown. GNDU uses a simple conversion to percentage: multiply your CGPA by 8.9.

The result status column uses a few codes you should know. R means re-appear, RL means result late (the marksheet will be updated once the delay is resolved), and D in the result column stands for distinction. Check every field carefully, because an error in the name or registration number can cause trouble later during document verification.

“The university plans to release the remaining results in stages on the same portal, so students should not worry if their course link is not active yet.”

Revaluation: deadline, fee and the exceptions

Students who are unhappy with their marks can apply for revaluation. The window is short: apply online within 18 days of the result declaration through the Examination section on the official online portal. The fee is Rs. 1,200 per subject plus a Rs. 200 application form fee, and one form covers all the subjects you apply for.

Two examiners re-check the answer sheet separately, and the final revaluation result, whether it raises or lowers your marks, is binding on you. You can withdraw within 10 days of applying, but the fee will not be refunded.

A few categories are excluded from revaluation: examinations in the faculties of Medicine, Dentistry and Ayurveda, practical and viva voce exams, and semesters where a grading system is used. Read the instructions on the official portal before paying the fee, so you do not apply for a category that is not covered.

A word on the distance-learning admission extension

In a separate October update, GNDU extended the last date for admission to its Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online courses to 13 October 2026, following directions from the UGC’s Distance Education Bureau. If you were waiting for that admission window and missed the earlier deadline, check the current status on gndu.ac.in before assuming it is closed.

GNDU is one of the oldest universities in the state, set up in Amritsar in 1969, with a 500-acre campus and 148 affiliated colleges. With an A++ NAAC grade, its results draw students from across Punjab every semester, so check the official notices page regularly for the next result batch.
