CA Inter Result Today: ICAI to Release September 2026 Scorecards by Evening

Follow us on Google

The wait ends today. ICAI will declare the CA Intermediate September 2026 result on October 22, and the result link is expected to go live on the official portal by evening. Lakhs of students who wrote the papers in September can finally check where they stand.

The institute confirmed the timeline in an announcement issued by its Examination Department on October 14, signed by Additional Secretary (Exams) Anand Kumar Chaturvedi. No exact release time has been fixed, so the scorecard could appear any time through the day. Keep your registration number and roll number ready before you open the portal.

The results were likely to be declared by the evening of October 22, 2026, ICAI’s October 14 announcement said.

Where to check the CA Inter September 2026 result

ICAI publishes all CA results on its dedicated result portal, caresults.icai.org. Updates and official notices also appear on icai.org. Use only these two sites. Dozens of fake links circulate on result day, and the only scorecard that counts is the one the official portal shows.

Once the link is live, the process is simple. Open caresults.icai.org and select the CA Intermediate September 2026 result. Enter your registration number and roll number, fill in the security code on the page, and submit. Your scorecard appears on the screen. Download it and save a copy, because you will need it for articleship registration and for the CA Final stage later.

If the page refuses to load, do not panic. Result portals slow down when lakhs of students hit them at once. Wait a few minutes and try again, or switch browsers.

What the result decides for you

To clear CA Inter, you need at least 40 marks out of 100 in every paper and 50% in aggregate across the group. Miss either condition and the group has to be written again. There is no partial pass.

Students who clear both groups move one big step closer to the CA Final. Clear only one group and you carry the other forward. Those who do not clear can apply for verification of marks. If verification raises your marks, ICAI refunds the verification fee on its own and issues a revised mark statement.

The next attempt is not far away. ICAI has already announced the January 2027 session, with Group I papers on January 2, 4 and 6, and Group II papers on January 8, 10 and 12. Registration for that session opens on November 3, 2026, and the last date to apply without a late fee is November 16. The correction window for the application form will stay open from November 20 to 22.

How tough the exam was last time

The May 2026 session showed how steep this exam is. In Group I, 9,350 of 91,237 candidates passed, a pass percentage of 10.25%. Group II saw 10,372 of 64,381 pass, or 16.11%. Only 2,820 of 33,304 candidates cleared both groups together, which is 8.47%.

These numbers are not there to scare you. They show that CA Inter rewards steady preparation over last-minute study, and that even strong students often need more than one attempt. If the result today is not what you hoped for, the January session gives you a quick second chance.

Group I papers for the September session were held on September 1, 3 and 6, and Group II papers on September 8, 10 and 12. ICAI will release the pass percentage and the all-India toppers list along with the result, as it does every session.

What students are asking right now

  • Keep your admit card nearby. It has the exact registration number and roll number you must type on the portal, and a single wrong digit blocks the login.
  • The online scorecard is provisional. Your college and articleship forms may ask for it, but the signed mark sheet from ICAI remains the final record.
  • CA Foundation candidates have a little longer to wait. The Foundation September 2026 result is expected between October 23 and 26, but ICAI has not confirmed a date yet, so treat that window as tentative.

For students tracking other exams, the IBPS SO prelims result 2026 with its scorecard download guide also went up this week. New announcements land on our results page through the day, so check back if you are following more than one exam.
