KSOU Result 2026 Out: 4 MBA and MA Results Declared on October 16
Good news for Karnataka State Open University students: four more results are out. KSOU released provisional results on 16 October 2026 for its May/June 2026 examinations, covering MBA and MA courses. If you are a distance-learning student waiting on your scorecard, you can check it now on the university’s official portal.
The KSOU Result 2026 release covers four result lists: MBA third semester, MBA first semester, MA Economics third semester revaluation, and MA Public Administration first year. This is the latest in a string of result announcements from the open university this month.
The four results KSOU declared on 16 October
The university published provisional results for these courses and categories:
- III Semester M.B.A (OS) — Repeaters (May/June 2026 exam)
- I Semester M.B.A — Repeaters (May/June 2026 exam)
- III Semester M.A Economics (2024-25 July cycle and repeaters) — Revaluation result (May/June 2026 exam)
- I Year M.A Public Administration — Repeaters (May/June 2026 exam)
A “repeaters” result is for students who are re-appearing in those papers, not the first-time candidates of the regular batch. The MA Economics list is a revaluation result, for students who had asked for their answer scripts to be checked again.
How to check your KSOU result online
Open the official KSOU results portal and follow these steps:
- Look through the list of published results and find your course and semester or year.
- Make sure the entry matches your category, such as Repeaters or Revaluation.
- Select it and enter your roll number or registration number when the page asks.
- Submit and view your result on the screen.
- Download or save the scorecard for your records.
If the page loads slowly, wait and try again. Result portals often get heavy traffic in the first few hours. Our step-by-step guide on how to check your university result online has more tips if you get stuck on any step.
“All four results are marked provisional, which means the online scorecard is for information. Your final record is the marksheet the university issues.”
What your KSOU marksheet will show
The online result lists your name, roll number, course name and code, subject names and codes, marks obtained in each subject, total marks, result status, and the result date. Go through each line carefully. If your name or roll number is spelled wrong, or a paper you wrote is missing, contact your college or the university’s examination office right away. Small errors are easier to fix early.
Students with questions about internal assessment marks can contact the Registrar Evaluation, as mentioned in the university notification.
A busy fortnight for KSOU students
KSOU has been clearing its result backlog in batches all month. Before this round, the university had released revaluation results for M.Sc Botany and M.Sc Zoology first semesters on 14 October, M.A Journalism and Mass Communication first and second year results on 12 October, and B.A, M.Sc Physics, and M.A Hindi revaluation results on 9 October. More lists are likely to follow for the remaining UG and PG courses.
Open universities like KSOU serve a large number of working students and distance learners, and these students track result announcements closely. Like the recent Mumbai University BE results, these KSOU lists matter most to the students waiting on them, so do not rely on screenshots forwarded in WhatsApp groups. Check the official KSOU website and the results portal directly.
