MAT September 2026 Result Expected This Week: How to Download Your Scorecard

Follow us on Google

The wait for the MAT September 2026 result is nearly over. The All India Management Association (AIMA) has not fixed an official result date, but scorecards are expected in the first week of October 2026, going by the usual schedule of the exam body. Candidates who appeared for the paper-based test on September 13 or the computer-based test on September 20 will get their scorecards in the candidate dashboard on the official website, mat.aima.in.

MAT is a national-level entrance test for MBA and PGDM admissions, held four times a year: February, May, September, and December. Its score is accepted by more than 700 management institutes and MBA colleges across India. If you took the September session, your scorecard decides which colleges you can apply to in the current admission cycle.

How to download your MAT September 2026 scorecard

Your scorecard will appear only in your login on the official MAT website. AIMA sends an email when the scorecard is ready, but the scorecard itself is not emailed to you. Here is the process to download it:

  • Visit the official website, mat.aima.in.
  • Click on the login option and enter your registration number and registered email ID.
  • Choose the exam session (February, May, September, or December) and click on the scorecard option.
  • Your MAT September 2026 scorecard will appear on the screen.
  • Download the PDF and keep a saved copy for future reference.

If you cannot log in because you forgot your password, use the “Forgot Password” option on the login page, enter your registered email ID, and follow the reset instructions sent to your inbox.

What your scorecard will show you

Once you open the PDF, check every detail carefully before you move on. Each scorecard carries your name, roll number, date of birth, exam date, sectional scores, overall score, composite score, and percentile. The scores in the sections are reported on a scale of 0 to 100, while the composite score is reported on a scale of 199 to 801.

“AIMA does not fix a result date in advance. The scorecard simply appears in your login dashboard one day, and the only alert you get is an email saying it is ready.”

The percentile matters the most for admissions. Most colleges shortlist candidates on the percentile, not the raw score. There is no re-evaluation of the MAT scorecard, so what you see is final.

What to do after the MAT result is out

Getting the scorecard is only step one. AIMA does not conduct any common counselling for MBA admission. During the application process you could select up to five participating B-schools to receive your score, and AIMA will send your score directly to those institutes for further consideration.

Beyond those five, you must apply to colleges separately. Each institute fixes its own cut-off. Top-tier colleges usually ask for 90 to 95 percentile, mid-tier institutes take candidates in the 80 to 90 range, and many other colleges accept 70 percentile and below. Students preparing for other management entrances should also keep track of the CAT 2026 correction window, since CAT and MAT are the two most common MBA entrance tests in India.

If your score meets a college’s cut-off, you will be called for the next stages of selection, typically a group discussion, a written ability test, or a personal interview, depending on the institute. Watch your email, including the spam folder, because colleges send interview invitations by email. Also note that your MAT score stays valid for one year from the exam date, so plan your applications accordingly. If you are unsure about downloading any result PDF, the steps explained in our NEET PG scorecard download guide follow the same basic pattern.

Missed a good score? The December session is next

MAT gives you more chances than most entrance exams. The exam runs four times a year, and there is no rule stopping you from appearing again. Registrations for the December 2026 session have opened on the official website, mat.aima.in, so if your September score falls short of the cut-offs you are aiming for, you can register again and try to improve it.

“MAT does not release any rank list. With four sessions a year, your best session’s score is what most colleges consider.”

Keep one more thing in mind: AIMA will not send you a printed copy of the scorecard, and there is no way to get a duplicate by post. Download the PDF from your login, save a backup, and carry a printout when you go for college interviews. More result updates like this are published on our results section, so keep checking back.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will the MAT September 2026 result be declared?

AIMA has not announced an official date. Going by its usual pattern of releasing scorecards about two weeks after the exam, the September 2026 scorecard is expected in the first week of October 2026. It will be available only in your login on mat.aima.in.

How do I download my MAT scorecard?

Go to mat.aima.in, click the login option, and enter your registration number and registered email ID. Choose the September 2026 session and click the scorecard option. Download the PDF and save a copy for future use.

What details are shown on the MAT scorecard?

Your name, roll number, date of birth, exam date, sectional scores, composite score (on a 199 to 801 scale), and overall percentile. Check your name, session, scores, and percentile right after downloading.

What should I do after the MAT result is out?

Apply separately to the MBA colleges you want. AIMA will send your score to the five B-schools you selected in the application form, and institutes will shortlist candidates for group discussion and personal interview rounds based on their own cut-offs.
