1.17 Lakh Registered: MH SET Admit Card 2026 Out Today, Exam on Oct 25

The wait is over for over 1.17 lakh aspirants. Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is releasing the admit card for the 41st Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) 2026 today, and the download link goes live at 10 AM on the official MH SET portal. The exam is fixed for Sunday, 25 October 2026.

MH SET is the state-level test that certifies eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor in colleges and universities in Maharashtra and Goa. If you registered for this cycle, the hall ticket is now the single most important document on your desk. Without a printed copy, no candidate is allowed inside the exam hall, whatever the reason.

The admit card is available online only. SPPU sends no copy by post or email, so download it yourself from the official MH SET portal once the link activates at 10 AM.

1. Open the official portal, setexam.unipune.ac.in, on your phone or computer.
2. Click the admit card link on the homepage or open the candidate login section.
3. Enter your registered email ID and password, then solve the captcha shown on screen.
4. Open your candidate dashboard and click the admit card or hall ticket button.
5. Check every detail on screen, download the PDF, and take at least two clear printouts.

Check these details on your admit card

Your hall ticket is generated from the application form you submitted earlier this year. The moment you download it, go through these fields one by one: your name, roll number, application number, the subject you chose for Paper II, your exam centre name and address, the exam date and reporting time, your photograph and signature, and the printed exam-day instructions.

No admit card will reach you by post or email. Download it yourself, print it, and carry it to the centre — screenshots on a phone will not be accepted.

The Oct 25 exam: OMR-based, two papers, no negative marking

The 41st MH SET is an offline, pen-and-paper exam on 25 October 2026. It has two papers held on the same day: Paper I covers general teaching and research aptitude with 50 questions for 100 marks, and Paper II is subject-specific with 100 questions for 200 marks. There is no negative marking, so you should attempt every question.

This date is the confirmed one after two earlier postponements. The exam was first scheduled for 26 July 2026 and later moved to 27 September 2026 before SPPU fixed 25 October. With the final date now settled and hall tickets out, the schedule is unlikely to change again.

What to carry on exam day

A printed copy of the admit card and a valid photo ID are mandatory. Aadhaar, PAN card or voter ID all work, as long as the name on the ID matches the name on your admit card. Carry a blue or black ballpoint pen to fill the OMR sheet, because the paper is fully offline. Calculators are not allowed inside the hall.

It is also a good idea to keep a second printout of the admit card at home. Centres sometimes ask for extra copies during verification, and a backup copy costs you nothing. SPPU results for BA, LLB and LLM courses were declared on the same university portal earlier this week, so the site should be familiar to candidates who study in the state.

Download it on day one, not the last day

Portals slow down when thousands of candidates log in at once, and login errors are the most common complaint on admit card days. Download your hall ticket today itself, right after the link goes live at 10 AM. If the site hangs, wait and try again rather than switching to unofficial links claiming to host the admit card. Only the official portal carries the genuine document.
