Mumbai University has released another batch of postgraduate results. Three distance-learning programmes under NEP 2020 went live on the university’s official results portal on 6 October 2026: M.A Marathi Semester IV, and M.A Psychology Semester I (supplementary) and Semester IV. If you sat for any of these exams, your score is now up on the portal.

This is fresh news for thousands of students waiting on these scores. The result date 06/10/2026 is printed right on the university’s Online Results page, next to each programme’s course code. Here is what is out and how to check it.

Mumbai University MA result declared: which courses are out

The university’s Mumbai University results page already tracks this week’s releases, but here are the new ones. All three are part of the open and distance learning (ODL) track:

  • Master of Arts (Marathi), Semester IV (NEP 2020) - programme code ODL31812, result dated 06/10/2026
  • Master of Arts (Psychology), Semester I (NEP 2020), Supplementary - programme code ODL31819, result dated 06/10/2026
  • Master of Arts (Psychology), Semester IV (NEP 2020) - programme code ODL31819, result dated 06/10/2026

This comes just days after Mumbai University released another batch of PG results on 2 October for M.Com Business Management, M.A Economics and M.A Political Science. The university has been clearing its backlog of results steadily this week.

“Don’t wait for your college to put up a notice. The results are already on the portal, and the online copy is enough for the next step.”

The portal also listed two more results with the same 6 October date: M.A Avestha-Pahalavi Semester I (supplementary) and M.Sc Mathematics Semester III (supplementary). If those are yours, they are live too.

What this means for the students behind these results

For the Marathi and Psychology Semester IV students, this is the result that matters most. The fourth semester is the last leg of the MA programme, so clearing it means the degree is within reach. The university will now process the degree and issue the final marksheet through your study centre. Keep your exam hall ticket and identity proof handy, because you may need them when collecting documents.

The Semester I supplementary result is a different kind of relief. Students who failed or missed a paper in their first semester took this exam as a second chance. Clearing it means you move ahead with your batch instead of repeating the year. If you could not clear this time, talk to your college about the next supplementary round instead of waiting for a notice that may come late.

Both results sit under the open and distance learning track, which is how thousands of working students earn their MA. The ODL course codes in the portal (ODL31812, ODL31819) simply mark that these are distance-learning programmes, and the result on the portal carries the same weight as any regular-mode result.

How to check your Mumbai University MA result online

  • Find your programme name and programme code (ODL31812 for Marathi, ODL31819 for Psychology).

  • Click the link and enter the details the page asks for.
  • Check your name, seat number and marks, then save or print a copy.

If you are new to checking scores online, our step-by-step piece on how to check your university result online walks through the whole process.

What to do if something looks wrong

Online results are provisional. They are meant to give you quick information while the university prepares the official marksheet. A few things to do now:

  • Check every detail. Spelling of your name, seat number, subject names and marks. One wrong digit can cause trouble later.
  • Take a printout. Keep a physical copy until the original marksheet arrives from your college.
  • Spot a mistake? Report it to your college or the university examination office right away. Don’t post about it on social media and wait.
  • Planning revaluation? Watch for the revaluation notice on the university site. Mumbai University usually opens the revaluation window shortly after results, and the window is short. The main University of Mumbai website carries those notices.

Students who cleared Semester IV will move to the next semester, while those who appeared for the Semester I supplementary exam should watch their college notices for the next steps. Good luck, and keep the printout safe.
