NEET PG 2026: Round 1 Final Allotment Out, Reporting Starts Tomorrow (Oct 26)

Follow us on Google

The Medical Counselling Committee has released the NEET PG 2026 Round 1 final allotment result. Candidates who took part in the round can now check whether they have been allotted a seat on the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in. Reporting at the allotted colleges starts tomorrow, October 26, and runs till November 2, 2026.

This is the list that counts. MCC had published a provisional allotment list on October 23 and gave candidates time to flag errors. The final result, released on October 24, replaces that list. If your seat changed between the two lists, go by the final one.

How to check the NEET PG 2026 Round 1 final result

Keep your roll number ready and search inside the result PDF to find your entry.

  • Go to the official MCC portal at mcc.nic.in.
  • Open the PG Medical Counselling section on the homepage.
  • Find the link titled “Final Allotment Result for PG Counselling Round 1 dated 24.10.2026”.
  • Open the PDF and search for your roll number.
  • Check the allotted college, course and category carefully.
  • Download the result and save a copy for your records.
  • Then log in to the counselling portal and download your allotment letter. You will need it at the reporting desk.

Check the result only on mcc.nic.in. No other website is authorised to publish the allotment list, so stay away from forwarded PDFs and lookalike links on social media. If a link asks for money to show your result, it is a scam.

The provisional list on October 23 was only a draft. The final allotment result of October 24 is the official list, and reporting is based on that alone.

Reporting starts tomorrow: what to carry

Candidates who got a seat must report to their allotted institute between October 26 and November 2, 2026. The college will verify documents and complete admission there. Institutes will then verify the data of joined candidates on November 3.

Carry the originals plus photocopies of these documents:

  • NEET PG 2026 admit card and scorecard
  • MBBS degree or provisional degree certificate, with all MBBS marksheets
  • Internship completion certificate
  • Medical registration certificate from the state medical council or NMC
  • Seat allotment letter downloaded from the MCC portal
  • Valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar, passport or driving licence
  • Category certificate, if you claimed a reserved seat
  • PwBD certificate, if applicable

Colleges may also ask for a fee receipt or medical fitness certificate, so read your college’s reporting instructions before you travel and carry an extra set of photocopies.

Freeze, float or free exit: your three choices

Round 1 candidates have three options, and picking the right one matters.

Freeze means you are happy with the seat. You report, complete admission, and step out of further rounds. Float means you take the seat for now but stay in the running for a better seat in Round 2. If an upgrade comes, you move. If it does not, your Round 1 seat stays safe. Free exit is the third option: if you do not want the allotted seat, you can leave Round 1 without losing your security deposit and try again in Round 2.

Do not skip reporting and assume the seat will wait. A candidate who neither reports nor takes a free exit can lose the seat and face penalties in later rounds, so read the MCC instructions on the PG Medical Counselling page before you decide.

If you did not get a seat, Round 2 is close

Round 2 registration and payment will run from November 6 to 11, 2026, choice filling from November 7 to 12, and the Round 2 result is scheduled for November 14. Reporting for Round 2 will run from November 16 to 23.

MCC handles 50% All India Quota postgraduate medical seats, plus central, deemed and ESIC institute seats. State quota seats are handled by state authorities.

Before Round 2 choice filling opens, read the NEET PG 2026 Round 1 registration schedule and the NEET PG 2026 counselling seat matrix. Both will help you pick better options the second time around. And if you followed the earlier NEET PG 2026 Round 1 seat allotment update, remember that this final list is the one colleges will match against.
