NEHU Result Out Today: 6 Results Declared for BArch and PhD Students

North-Eastern Hill University has released six new results today, October 9, 2026. Students of the BArch programme and PhD scholars from three departments can now check their provisional marksheets on the official portal. The university published the NEHU result PDFs for the BArch 2nd and 4th semesters, whose exams were held in June 2026, along with the PhD Course Work 2026 results for Horticulture, Sociology and Zoology.
NEHU is a central university based in Shillong, Meghalaya, and it publishes its results separately for UG and PG or professional courses. This week’s batch is entirely from the professional courses list, and all six PDFs carry the same declaration date of October 9.
6 NEHU results declared today: BArch 2nd, 4th semester and PhD Course Work 2026
Architecture students get the biggest share of this round. The university declared the provisional result for the BArch 4th semester (regular) of the 2024 batch, the BArch 2nd semester (regular) of the 2025 batch, and the BArch 2nd semester (reappear) of the 2024 batch. All three were exams held in June 2026, so students have waited nearly four months for this update.
All six result PDFs declared today are live on the NEHU examination portal, and students only need their roll number to check them.
The remaining three PDFs are for research scholars. NEHU released the PhD Course Work 2026 results for the Department of Horticulture, the Department of Sociology and the Department of Zoology. It was a busy week for the portal overall: a day earlier, on October 8, the university had also declared the PhD Course Work result for the Khasi department and the LLM 4th semester (regular) result for the 2024 batch.
What your NEHU marksheet will show
These PDFs are provisional marksheets. Each entry carries the student’s name and roll number, the course and subject codes, subject-wise marks, total marks and the result status for the semester. The declaration date is printed on the sheet as well. Read every line before you save it. Small errors in names and roll numbers show up often in provisional lists, and it is easier to flag them now than after the final marksheet is printed. Your college will issue the final marksheet later, and that is the document you should use for jobs, higher studies or any official verification.
How to check the NEHU result on exams.nehu.ac.in
The process takes a couple of minutes if you know where to look. The result list is updated on the university’s own site, not on any third-party page, so stick to the official link below.
- Open the official NEHU examination portal.
- Look for the “PG & Professional Course Results” section on the homepage.
- Select your course from the list of declared results.
- Click the link to open the result PDF for your semester.
- Use the search function in the PDF to find your roll number.
- Download and save the PDF for your records.
The PDF shows your name, roll number, subject-wise marks and your result status. If you are new to reading online university marksheets, our guide on how to check a university result online explains what each column means.
What to do if your roll number is missing or the marks look wrong
First, double-check that you opened the correct PDF for your batch. Regular and reappear results for the same semester are published as separate files, and it is easy to open the wrong one. Confirm the batch year printed at the top of the PDF.
If your roll number is missing from the list or the marks do not match what you expected, contact your department office or the university’s examination section. Keep a copy of your admit card and exam application handy when you raise the query. The provisional PDF is not the final word, and corrections are common at this stage. If you want to apply for revaluation later, watch the university notice board for the recheck window instead of waiting for a reminder.
This week’s NEHU round follows a string of university results declared in early October, including the recent Osmania University UG result. With the university clearing results in batches, students from other NEHU courses should check the portal regularly over the next few days.
