UPSSSC PET Admit Card 2026 Out: Oct 25 Exam Hall Ticket Live, Check Steps
The hall tickets are finally out for lakhs of UP government job aspirants. The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) released the PET 2026 admit card on 17 October. This wave covers candidates appearing for the first exam date, 25 October. Hall tickets for the 30 October and 1 November exams will follow on 23 October and 25 October. If you are writing the exam this Sunday, download your admit card now and check every detail on it.
PET, short for the Preliminary Eligibility Test, is the qualifying exam for Group B and Group C government jobs in Uttar Pradesh. Clearing it gets you an eligibility certificate that stays valid for three years. Only then can you apply for the main exams of posts that carry Advt. No. 16-Exam/2026. That is why this admit card matters so much, and why lakhs of candidates are rushing the portal today.
Three exam dates, two shifts each day
The PET 2026 written exam will run on 25 October, 30 October and 1 November 2026, in two shifts each day across 60 districts of the state:
- First shift: 10 AM to 12 noon
- Second shift: 3 PM to 5 PM
Your admit card carries your exact date, shift, and centre address. Read it with care, because candidates have been allotted different days and shifts. The exam runs in pen-and-paper mode with a two-hour paper, so reach your centre well before the reporting time printed on your hall ticket. Frisking, document checks, and queues take time.
How to download the UPSSSC PET admit card 2026
- Go to the official UPSSSC portal.
- Find the link for “UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test Admit Card 2026” on the homepage.
- Enter your registration number and date of birth, plus the verification code shown on screen.
- Submit the details. Your admit card will appear on the screen.
- Check your name, photo, exam date, shift, and centre address. Then download and print a clear copy.
Some browsers show a blank or timed-out page when the portal is crowded. If that happens, wait a few minutes and try again during off-peak hours. Do not keep refreshing non-stop. Keep your registration number ready instead of searching your email at the last moment.
“Without the admit card, no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall. Carry your hall ticket, a photo ID, and a recent passport photograph on exam day.”
What to verify on your hall ticket right now
Open the PDF today, not on exam morning. Match your name and photograph against your documents. Confirm the exam date, the shift, and the centre name and address. Note the reporting time, which may differ from the shift start time. If anything is wrong — a spelling mistake in your name, the wrong shift, a mismatched photo — contact the UPSSSC authorities immediately and get it corrected. Errors found on exam day are almost never fixed in time.
Also remember: the exam city slip released earlier this month only gives advance information about your district. It is not a substitute for the admit card. You cannot enter the hall with it. The printed admit card, a valid photo ID such as Aadhaar or PAN card, and a recent passport-size photograph are the three things you must carry, as announced with the hall ticket release on the commission’s website.
Exam-day rules worth knowing
Phones, smartwatches, calculators, and Bluetooth devices are barred from the centre, so leave them at home or with someone outside. Reach the centre at least an hour early. Entry involves queues, document verification, and sometimes biometric checks, and gates close as per the admit card timings. Read the instructions printed on your hall ticket twice. Each year, students lose their exam for small mistakes like wrong signing formats or misreading the shift.
