Rs 30,000 Rajendra Prasad scholarship: October 31 is the last date for Class 10, 12 students

Follow us on Google

If you passed Class 10 or 12 this year and your family earns up to Rs 8 lakh a year, there is Rs 30,000 of one-time financial help waiting for you. The Dr. Rajendra Prasad Scholarship 2026-27 closes on October 31, and only 23 days are left.

The scholarship is run by Buddy4Study, a well-known scholarship platform in India. It is a merit-cum-means scheme, which means your marks and your family’s income both matter. Students from any stream can apply: science, commerce, arts, diploma, and professional courses are all covered, and students from any state can fill the form.

Who can apply, and what you get

Three conditions decide whether you are eligible. You should have passed the Class 10 board exam in 2026, or the Class 12 board exam in 2025 or 2026. Your marks must be at least 65 percent in that class. And your parents’ annual income from all sources should not cross Rs 8 lakh.

Selected students receive up to Rs 30,000 in one go. The final amount is fixed according to your actual fee structure, so two students may not get the same figure. The money can be used only for study-related costs: tuition fees, books, study material, accommodation, or hostel fees. Personal expenses are not covered.

Some students get preference in the selection. These include students who studied in government schools, persons with disabilities, and students from the North-East region or aspirational districts.

Documents to keep ready before you start

Gathering papers at the last minute is the biggest reason applications get delayed. Keep scanned copies of these ready:

  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Aadhaar card (masked) or any other valid government ID
  • Class 10 or Class 12 marksheet
  • Proof of admission, such as your college ID card, admission letter, or fee receipt
  • Official fee structure of your current course
  • Family income certificate issued by a competent government authority
  • Your bank account details, such as a passbook copy or a cancelled cheque

Buddy4Study has put a fraud warning on this scholarship. No fee is charged at any stage. If anyone asks you for money to get this scholarship, it is a scam. Apply only on the official portal.

Do not count on another extension

This deadline has already been pushed back more than once. Shiksha’s update on the scheme says students should not wait for a further extension. Private scholarships like this one, unlike many government schemes, may simply close the window without another notice.

One more thing worth knowing: this scholarship is separate from the government schemes on the National Scholarship Portal, which also close on October 31. If you are eligible for both, applying to both is the smarter move. Our government scholarships guide lists the main central and state options in one place.

Finish your form this week. Portals slow down in the final days, and a small document mistake can cost you the whole application.
