Rs 75,000 Before October 31: HDFC Parivartan ECSS Scholarship 2026-27 Open

Follow us on Google

The second application cycle of HDFC Bank’s Parivartan ECSS scholarship closes on October 31, 2026. Students from Class 1 to postgraduate level can get between Rs 15,000 and Rs 75,000 a year, depending on their course. The scheme is run under the bank’s Parivartan CSR initiative and is open to Indian students whose family income is Rs 2.5 lakh a year or less.

This is one of the few private scholarships that covers almost every level of study, from school children to PhD-level professional students. If your family income fits the limit, this window is worth your time.

What the Parivartan ECSS scholarship pays, course by course

The amount is fixed by level of study. Students in Classes 1 to 6 get Rs 15,000 a year. Students in Classes 7 to 12, and those doing a diploma, ITI, or polytechnic course, get Rs 18,000.

Undergraduate students in general courses like BA, BSc, BCom, and BCA receive Rs 30,000. Those in professional UG courses such as BTech, MBBS, LLB, BArch, and nursing get Rs 50,000. At the postgraduate level, general courses like MA, MCom, and MSc carry Rs 35,000, while professional PG courses like MBA and MTech carry the top amount of Rs 75,000 a year.

The money goes straight toward your studies, and the scheme now continues for multiple years. Scholars who keep meeting the eligibility rules can get support in later years too.

Who is eligible: the 55 percent and Rs 2.5 lakh rules

Two numbers decide whether you can apply. Your family income from all sources must not cross Rs 2.5 lakh a year. And you must have scored at least 55 percent marks in your most recent qualifying examination.

You must be an Indian national, studying at a recognised institution in India. Preference is given to students who have faced a personal or family crisis, such as a medical emergency, the death of an earning parent, or a job loss at home. If you apply under this category, you need proof of the crisis, like medical bills, a death certificate, or a termination letter.

Key dates: do not wait for the last day

Applications for the 2026-27 programme opened on August 6, 2026. The bank runs the window in cycles. The first cycle closed on August 31, the second cycle ends on October 31, 2026, and a third cycle is reported to run until December 31, 2026.

Apply in the current cycle. Seats in each cycle are limited, and waiting for the next one is a gamble. Portal traffic also spikes in the final days, which is when technical glitches happen most.

How to apply on parivartanecss.com

The whole process is online. There is no application fee. Keep your documents ready before you start: a passport-size photograph, your previous year’s marksheet, an identity proof like Aadhaar, admission proof for the 2026-27 academic year such as a fee receipt or bonafide certificate, your bank passbook or a cancelled cheque, and an income proof from the Gram Panchayat, Sarpanch, ward councillor, SDM, or a self-declared affidavit.

  1. Go to the official Parivartan ECSS portal and pick your category: School, Undergraduate, or Postgraduate.
  2. Click Apply Now. You will be taken to the Buddy4Study platform. New users need to register with a mobile number or email ID; existing users can log in directly.
  3. Click Start Application and fill in your personal, academic, family income, and bank details carefully. Bank details must be correct, so double-check your IFSC code.
  4. Upload the documents in clear PDF or JPEG format, accept the terms, preview the full form for mistakes, and submit. Download the acknowledgement for your records.

How selection works and when results come

Selection happens in three stages. The committee first shortlists applications on academic merit and financial need. Then it verifies every uploaded document for authenticity. Finally, shortlisted candidates face a telephonic interview with the selection team.

You can track your application status on the Buddy4Study portal under My Applications. Results are usually announced two to three months after the deadline of your cycle, so applicants in the October 31 cycle can expect to hear back around January.

A few mistakes that get forms rejected

Most rejected applications fail on small things. Marks below 55 percent, income proof above Rs 2.5 lakh, and unreadable or wrong documents are the common reasons. Another frequent one is mismatched bank details, which will block the payment even if you are selected. Fill the form yourself, in one sitting, and read every field twice before you hit submit.
