₹1 Lakh Each for 102 Students: MP Names Shri Krishna Scholarship Winners for Nov 1

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will honour 102 meritorious students with ₹1 lakh each on November 1, the state’s Foundation Day. The award comes under the Lord Shri Krishna Meritorious Student Scholarship, and the winners were picked from more than 63,000 students who took part in an online competition.

The announcement was made in Bhopal on October 26. Along with the money, each of the 102 students will also receive a certificate. The selection was handled by Shri Krishna Pathey Nyas, the trust that runs the scheme, and it covered both school students and college or university students.

102 winners from a field of 63,736 students

The numbers behind this scholarship show how tough the race was. The online competition ran from August 11 to September 30, 2026. A total of 63,736 students registered for it, and 58,099 of them completed the test. The official website recorded more than 7.94 lakh visits during the competition period.

After an assessment on October 23, a merit list of 5,514 students was prepared. The final 102 winners were then chosen from that list through a lottery. That means fewer than one in 600 registered students made it to the final list, which is why the Chief Minister called the winners exceptional.

Which districts won the most places

Khandwa district led the winners list with six students. Ashoknagar, Barwani, Narmadapuram, Seoni, Singrauli, and Umaria followed with four winners each. Burhanpur, Chhatarpur, Guna, Jhabua, Katni, Mauganj, Sagar, Satna, Sheopur, and Ujjain had three winners each.

These are the districts named in the reports so far. Students from other districts are also part of the 102, and the full list is the final word on who won.

“Their talent, hard work, and dedication to knowledge will play a significant role in building a Developed India.”

The quote above is from Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who congratulated the winners and said he hopes they will draw inspiration from the ideals of Lord Shri Krishna, reach new heights in life, and bring pride to the state.

What winners should do now

If you took part in the competition, check whether your name is on the list. Here is how:

  • Visit the official Shri Krishna Pathey Nyas website and look for the winners list: Shri Krishna Pathey Nyas official website
  • Match your name and district with the published list
  • Keep your registration details and ID proof ready, since winners are usually asked to confirm their identity before the award ceremony
  • Plan for November 1, when the awards will be given on Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day

One point needs to be clear. This round is closed. The competition ended on September 30, so students who did not take part cannot apply now. The value of this story for other students is simple: it shows the scale of the scheme and gives them a reason to watch for the next round.

Why this scholarship was started

The scheme aims to connect young students with the life philosophy of Lord Shri Krishna, along with Indian intellectual traditions, culture, and core life values. The Chief Minister has said the idea is to reward merit while also keeping students close to their cultural roots.

For students in Madhya Pradesh, this is one of the larger one-time awards announced this year. Most scholarships pay smaller yearly amounts, while this one gives ₹1 lakh at once to each winner.

Missed this one? Two deadlines are still open this week

Students who missed the Shri Krishna competition still have options closing in the next few days. The Maharashtra NMMS scholarship exam application closes on October 28, and the SDEF India scholarship runs till October 31. Both are worth checking before their windows shut.
